Samatha Law Society is committed to promoting access to justice, legal awareness and the Rule of Law. The Society works towards providing free legal aid to the poor, promoting legal literacy, improving the standards of legal education and strengthening the quality and reputation of the legal profession. It also aims to protect Human Rights, encourage legal research, support educational activities and make legal knowledge more accessible to society.

The Society further works to establish and maintain libraries, publish legal journals and books, promote resistance against corruption and collaborate with organisations having similar objectives. Through these initiatives, Samatha Law Society seeks to contribute towards the effective implementation of its objectives and the advancement of justice, legal education, human rights and the Rule of Law.
